I am passionate about supporting people and committed to providing counselling in a safe, confidential and secure manner. I do this by creating a space where you feel at ease and able to be yourself without feeling any judgement. I believe my personal attributes of being able to communicate empathy, congruence (genuineness) and unconditional positive regard towards my clients, supports you in feeling heard and ready to start your personal journey.
I gained my Therapeutic Counselling Diploma in York and have volunteered in Leeds for a charity as a Counsellor before setting up my own private practice. I am a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and I abide by their Ethical Framework, which includes having regular supervision to support me in my work and ensure I am working ethically and safely with my client’s best interests at the heart of the work. I also attend regular CPD courses to keep my knowledge up to date and also for personal interest in varying areas of Psychology and Counselling.
I offer a 50 minute session for £40, usually on a weekly basis, however, I understand that counselling can be expensive so fortnightly can be arranged in some circumstances.
I also offer counselling to individuals that can’t travel to my counselling practice, if you would like to know more about this please get in touch.
